Ways to cut down your child's screen time

Trying to limit your child's screen time 📺, but not sure how?⠀

Here are a few ways to get you started! ⠀

⠀✨1 Get physical! More often than not your child would rather play [a few rounds of] catch than to watch the TV. ⠀

⠀✨2 Encourage independent play, so that you can have some alone time if needed, instead of handing them an I-pad to keep them entertained. ⠀

⠀✨3 Get them started then back away. Try sitting down to draw with your child before quietly moving on to do your chores.⠀

⠀✨4 Implement a routine. When the new rule is introduced they might complain for the first few weeks, but once they realize the rule has become the new normal, they will stop trying to argue against it. So don't give in!⠀

⠀✨5 Prepare the environment. Prepare toys & activities for your child, and rotate what is available so you would not lose their interest. The better your home environment is set up, the less likely will they ask for screen time and instead embrace more active play.⠀
